My name is Phil Wilson. I am a professional drummer and percussionist. This site, however, is dedicated to my fundraising efforts for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
Each year in the UK approximately 45,000 women and 300 men are diagnosed with breast cancer. Sadly around 12,000 women and 80 men lose their battle against the disease. Early detection is the best weapon we have against breast cancer and a visit to Breakthrough Breast Cancer's website will give you the correct information and medical advice. They have a great App for iPhone for free download too.
To help Breakthrough to continue their vital work, I spent the last 12 months or so training for the 2011 Virgin London Marathon. I kept regular updates on my blog (Use the button below) I set myself a modest target of £2000 to raise and I made it, thanks to your generosity.. I wasn't fit twelve months ago but things did improve. It was my first marathon. and.. guess what? I won't be my last! I am down for the Nike+Run To The Beat on September 25th and I am training for sprint triathlons. It's all go!"
